Tammy's Story
Went to BYU, graduated in 1984. Served a full time mission to Washington DC 1985-1986. Worked in the Bay Area of CA and met my husband through the singles ward. We married in 1988, he finished graduate school 1991, the same year our first daughter was born. We moved then to Vermont and lived with my sister Linda until his Chiropractic practice was off and running. He developed a thriving practice in Bristol, VT where our second daughter was born. After 14 years we sold everything and moved to the North East of Texas, buying a practice here and re-establishing ourselves in 2006. Kayla is graduating 2009 from High School and will be attending BYU majoring in Graphic Arts-she is extremely talented in artwork and photography. Marisa has two more years and plays in the marching band and has found to have a knack with robotics! I keep myself busy running our office, being a very involved mom, and serving at church. I've held many callings but love the teaching one's and currently teach early morning seminary in my home. I enjoy arts/crafts and make stuff for my girls for most occasions. I still sing and get asked to do so quite often for many occasions. We love to travel and have gone almost everywhere in the U.S. and Eastern Canada. re. Our oldest took a group trip to Italy last summer, and next summer the youngest will go to Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. We really enjoy living here in E.Texas. It's green and full of lakes, we have great weather, close to 3 other states, and the people are warm and down to earth. After living in strong liberal country for so long, it is a welcome change to be among people who are more conservative, self sufficient, and value work ethic. Our oldest daughter was diagnosed with Crohn's disease at the age of 12, and also has a scarred liver, and anemia issues stemming from it. In 2012 we almost lost her from Liver failure, but we received a miracle and a liver that was a perfect fit was received, when she literally was almost out of time. She recovered very well after the transplant, was married 2 years later, and now we have miracle grandbabies from her. Marisa married in 2018 and so far 1 grandchild from her. Evan "retired" early and since we wanted to be closer to our grandkids, we sold our TX home and have moved to Kanab, UT. I never thought I would leave but it's worth it to be closer to them. We have been greatly blessed to have our needs met, be where we are needed most, and have two beautiful daughters who are intelligent, bright and loving to others. We don't have any complaints!
