Life Hello Class of 1979!!! Where do I begin? I got married for the first time to my best friend and soulmate David last year (2005). The result of this blessed union is the upcoming birth of our baby due on 1/04/06. Wow, a first time mother and wife at 44...who knew? Also, in addition to all this excitement and change, I am completing my Bachelors' Degree in Elementary Education (language arts major and social studies minor) in the 2005-2006 academic year at Oakland University. I will graduate magna cum laude, in the top of my class. The course and field work will certify me to teach K-5 and/or middle school language arts and social studies. For those of you who knew me then...this is a surprise. I was so laid back in school, unmotivated and underachieved. So much potential lost. I now view education as the key to success, and I will do everything in my power to guide and inspire my students to do so....besides that, I love the classroom environment and teaching young children. Now you say, how is she going to do all this and have a baby? Easy, my husband is going to take a leave of absence, so I can student teach in the winter.
