Tammy's Story
Life
Life's great! I have never been happier.
I have a wonderful husband who is my bestfriend and everything I could have ever wanted. He's Dutch and our wedding was on May 28, 2005, in his hometown in The Netherlands. We live in Michigan and visit Europe about twice per year. It's an amazing place.
No kids yet, but working on that :) Wish us luck.
College
I took the long route to finish my degree. But it was a worthwhile accomplishment. I received my Associates in Science in Math in 1999 with Summa Cum Laude. Then I received my B.S. in Electrical Engineering in 2005 with Summa Cum Laude, again... with all smiles :)
I decided before I completed my B.S. that I would not change careers right away. I have a good job right now that I've been with for 12 years and it's perfect for having a family (very flexible).
I'm thinking to continue my education and either work towards a Masters or a law degree. I...Expand for more
haven't decided yet; it really depends on the baby thing :)
PS. I'm really glad that I took the long route on finishing because that is where I met my husband! He was teaching and doing research at OU. Lucky me! He says "Lucky Us!!"
Workplace
I have a really nice job. Two of my friends, who are PTs, decided to start their own practice 12 years ago and asked me to join them. I accepted and have grown with them and the company ever since. They are now not only my good friends, but just like family.
With all the changes in healthcare over the past couple years, I have been kept on my toes. There is never a dull moment :)
Military
Attempted the AirForce in 1990 (guess I wanted a change in my life at that time). Did basic training and then had the option to get out, so I took it. I decided that wasn't the life I wanted. Luckily for me because a few months later we were at war for the first time with Iraq.
