Tamra's Story
After graduation, I remember spending a awesome summer with Linda Beckstrand before heading off with Liz Dierker to Valpo. That was a pretty crazy freshman year for both of us. I will never forgot her delight in watching snow fall for the first time: "...its like rain in slow motion..." I eventually graduated from Valparaiso University and headed to the east coast for graduate school where graduated with a MA in Art History from Hofstra University. o a cool work-study grant job at a small museum on Long Island. That work-study job became a 25 year career working for some of the best know museums in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago, moving art on loan to exhibitions worldwide. A few years ago I decided to make some changes and put non-profit behind me. I reconnected with another college roommate from Valpo, moved back to California to San Diego, got married and am now working as an office manager in a small electronic engineering firm.
