Tamyra's Story

Life
I was born. I went to school. I partied. I got married. I got unmarried. I partied some more. I worked for Osco Drug for 14 years. I left Osco to stay in Des Moines with a rocket scientist I was dating while he finished his masters degree. He moved away to Texas. I partied some more and now am married again. Still no children though I always regreted not having any. I get back home to Champaign/Urbana frequently to see friends and family there. I have 3 beautiful cats. Bailey, who I got from my mother, I have had for 10 years. Tara I got when I was with Josh. We named her after Tara Hill in Ireland which was one of the places we went to on our month long trek across Europe in 2001 after I left my j-o-b. That was one of the best times of my life. We did England, Scotland, Ireland, Germany and France. Who waits ttil they're 65?--not me! And finally, Fizgig, named after a character in the Dark Crystal movie. Currently, I am the Executive Director of the Polk County Democratic Party in Iowa which I LOVE! I have met alot of amazing people and all the Presidential Candidates. School
I went to 3 different high schools and have very fond memories of my time there and the people at each of them. At Stanton College it would be all the dances, Herbie and the Hubcaps, and my first boyfriend(G.A.D). Wheaton Central where I graduated had good people but none I have managed to keep in touch with. Urbana High is the most dear to me--with the most people i care about and still see-oddly enough most I knew from elementary school-not high school.
After graduating High school I worked full time for Osco Drug for 14 years and had my own store here in Des Moines, Iowa. Unfortuneately they decided to close the stores here and I didn;t want to transfer to California or Las Vegas--so--here I am. I am now remarried and have been the Executive Director for the Polk COunty Democratic Party for almost 5 years.
College
I graduated Des Moines Area Community College after 17 years of a part time struggle with a class here and a class there. I have a two-year degree in Business Administration and one in Liberal Arts.
