Tanya's Story
Life
I'm currently the guidance counselor for
Columbus Grove High School, which is
near Lima, Ohio. I live in a small,
nearby town called Bluffton; this fact
is simply unbelievable even to me, since
I was definitely meant to be a city
girl---an L.A. girl to be exact, but I
have still yet to make my final move to
California; though, I do visit there as often as I can, and am about to officially purchase property in Palm Springs yet this year!!!
After I graduated from high school, I
went to Bowling Green State University,
received a music degree, taught band for
nine years in a couple different cities,
somewhere in the middle got my real
estate license and sold homes for a
while too, and then somehow went back to
The University of Dayton to get a
masters degree in guidance counseling,
and ended up doin...Expand for more
g that for a living.
I have yet another
certificate in school administration, so
who knows---I may end up being the next
Ed Regan (wasn't that the Wayne H.S.
principal when we were there???).
Anyway, I've been married for 20
years, have no children, only cute
dogs---currently Ginger & Lashes. I still
play drums; usually for musical theatre
productions. That keeps me busy on the
weekends most every month of the year. I
have made a lot of friends by keeping
music in my life, and it has afforded me
a lot of travel experiences- even
overseas. So, life for me has been good.
Have I any regrets? Yeah, a few; mostly
in the area of relationships that I was
not able to sustain through the years
(like with many of my H.S. friends, for
example). But for the most part, I am
happy and life has been an adventure.
