Tara's Story
Life
After High School I went to Brigham Young University where I got my degree in International Relations and was married to my sweetheart, Erik. After we graduated, we moved to Washington, DC, where I worked with government sponsored international visitors for a State Department contractor while Erik was in Medical School. Our daughter Maya was born in 2001, and in 2002 we moved to Honolulu, HI, where Erik did his residency. Our son Kieran was born in 2006, just one month before Erik graduated residency and we moved to San Antonio, TX, for his first staff position. land sometimes. I keep busy with the kids and school. I teach private art lessons to children after school, and serve as the choir director at my church. Erik and I celebrated 10 years of marriage this year!
Workplace
After graduating I worked for 3 years in Washington, D.C., at an organization that is a contractor to the State Department doing diplomatic international visitor programs. I retired to start a new career as MOM when my beautiful daughter, Maya, was born. Now my rough job description includes outings to the zoo, the beach, shopping, and of course naptime, potty-training, and 24-hour wife and mom.
