Tara's Story

Life After I graduated in 1994, I went straight to Grayson County College through summer and then dropped mid fall 1994. I met my now husband then, had a good job and worked all of the time. I had a daughter in 1998, finally married John Walker(from Carrollton, TX) in 2002, and I now have a son who will be 2 in August. In 1999, (my daughter was tiny) I decided I did not want to work retail hours all of my life(I sold jewelry at Sam's Club at the time). I had thought after I graduated about going through the Dental Assisting Program at GCC then, but didn't. But, I did go through the program and graduated in 2000. I have been a dental assistant now ...Expand for more
for 7 yrs.. The first 2 offices I worked for was in Sherman. We moved to Sawyer,Oklahoma 5 yrs. ago and I work in Hugo now. When I am not working, I spend all my time with my family. My daughter is 8 and is 1 of 6 Miss Oklahoma Rodeo Sweethearts...My husband team ropes and so we are at a lot of arenas. I do ride but I do not compete, just support my family in their events(and chase my son). Even though I am not far from home, I mainly miss Texas for the convenience of shopping. Thank God for online shopping...It has saved me. I was shocked to see we did not have a 10 yr. reunion(I was ready to go). Hope to hear from some of my long time ago pals...
