Tara's Story
It's been a minute since I updated, so here goes. I have been keeping very busy. I'm substituting in a special needs classroom on an "as needed" basis (last year "as needed" was full time!). My WWII friend just turned 100 and we have embarked an a new adventure, writing his memoirs. I've never attempted anything like this and boy what an undertaking! But it's a labor of love and I can't wait to complete it. Am looking forward to putting the first copy in his hands and having him do a book signing! We already have 2 offers for it! ries on this amazing man and we had a major blow out party for him at our local VFW, pulled out all the stops. Had federal, state, and local level officials come in and celebrate him as well as good food, great band, it was awesome. Am still working with our Township local officials only now, we are working TOGETHER. Finally managed to get them turned into working with us for the good of the community! That was a major success. Am considering a run for office myself in two years (this would be my second) and was just appointed to be on our Park and Rec Board. So am keeping super busy post retirement!
