Taryton's Story

My name is Taryton Dywnn Strange-LEE aka "Tat" aka "Bean" aka "Po". I was born and raised in Mt. Vernon, Georgia attended and graduated from Montgomery County High School class of 88'. I was reared by the greatest mother of all time, Mrs. Ludene Mitchell-Strange-Roberson. I am the great grandson of Minnie Moses-Quarterman and Adam Quarterman, the grandson of Vera Moses-Mitchell, A.W. Mitchell, Marietta McCrae-Lee, and Charlie Lee. I am also the son of the late Herman Lee and the proud Step-Son of the late Gertrude "Trudie" Jackson-Lee, and the Step Son of the late Charlie Roberson Jr. I have 6 siblings of which I am the second oldest: Airman Michael Lewis Strange (My Big Brother), Kenya Lee, The late Tangie Lee, Tyrone Roberson, Jeffrey Roberson, and Renee Roberson. Currently, I reside in West Melbourne Florida along with the greatest part of me, my wife Minga Dixon-Lee. I will not bore you with the list of States I've temporarily called home, so I'll just omit them, but it has been more than 5. Although the many details of my life since High School are not open as a book, I do share with a close few some of the pages of my life that I think some people may find interesting. If you are reading this much, consider yourself one of the few. My endeavors since High School range from traveling to research many of the things I've either studied or heard about, lecturer, playwrite, activist (Political, Social), Minister (180th degree), community organizer, visionary, entrepreneur, my regretful "time" spent in College Classrooms (If only I could use what I learned outside of the classroom exclusively to validate my academic credentials), etc. My unique experiences in life provided by my travels, my studies, and mere inquiries along with my lovely Wife Minga, have allowed me to view life in various unique perspectives. Therefore, my commentary regarding some of the things I have been taught or programmed into accepting without question since "child-hood"...Expand for more
may be a little different since High School. However, I make it a point to still maintain "Tat", aka "Bean", aka "Po" for those who require the comfort and fund memories those personalities help create for them. On the other hand, there is Change. Change without abandonment. Change is the most constant thing in the Universe. If a person or thing is not changing, it is dead. If it is dead, it can no longer make impressions on life. Like the smallest of pebbles when cast in a large body of water with extreme force, makes an impression called the ripple affect that can expand the entire length of that large body water resulting in change. Therefore, I strive to change, but without abandoning who and what I am, my people who are a part of ME, my Ancestors who without their strength and courage to survive THE most horrific human trafficking (The Middle Passage) experience in Ourstory, and last but certainly not least, The Most High-Al Alyown the Amen (pslams 82:6) who is the Creator of the Boundless Universe. The most profound life lesson I've learned since High School is that one's classroom performance and level of popularity in High School, has absolutely no bearing on how successful you may be in the REAL School called LIFE. You may graduate at the top of your High School class, but fail in Life as a responsible individual. I am not an advocate for school dropouts nor am I anti-Education. I am an advocate for Right Knowledge instead of the seemingly constant celebration and promotion of Wrong Knowledge. Right Knowledge produces Right Thinking, Right Thinking produces Right Wisdom, Right Wisdom produces Right Actions, and Right Actions produces the Right Results that can change a dismal present reality. All in All, I am a spiritual being having a physical experience in a place that I am all too often depressed by. This is my profile to my Classmates membership which is also subject to change, so do check back from time to time to see what you may find.
