Ted's Story
It has been a wild and crazy ride since we walked across that stage in 1973. I have taken many "roads less traveled" that led me to where I am today. I have also had the very good fortune of being in the right place at the right time on a number of occasions. After leaving St. Martin, I have continued my education for what many would say has been far too many years at Southern Miss, Johns Hopkins, Vanderbilt, Eastern Virginia, and Harvard. I have finally ended up back in Nashville where I am the Director of Gynecology and Minimally Invasive Surgery at Vanderbilt Medical School. I am fortunate to be able to travel all over the world consulting and teaching.
I have a supportive wife of over 30 years, a talented and successful daughter Allison (in mark...Expand for more
eting and public relations), and a evolving son Ian who just graduated from Auburn (finance) in December 2011. We have 5 dogs (two labs, a chihuahua, and two mixed breed rescues) and a few paint horses.
I often think fondly about the days on the Gulf Coast but get back there to see family too infrequently. I have had so many experiences along the way that I did not fully appreciate until more recently. People, places, events, relationships ...... all have taught me so many things that I wish I had listened to more carefully way back then. But I guess all that comes with the grey hair!
