Ted's Story

Life I enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard immediately after high school. Enjoyed a four year tour of duty on the Outer Banks, of N.C. I moved back to Kannapolis in 1980, and have been there ever since. I worked as a industrial electrician in Cannon Mills till 1985, then took an electrical maintenance job at UNC-Charlotte. 27 years ...Expand for more
later, I am still employed at UNCC. I currently work for the College of Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering Department as a Research Operations Manager. At age 40, my family came full circle. I have two sons, Matt 16, and Luke 12, who keep my life very busy. At age 56, so much for the golden years and early retirement!
