Ted's Story

I lived and worked all my life in and around Toronto until September 2000 when I took the big leap and moved to Australia. I have never looked back. I live in Queensland which has absolutely superb weather and very friendly people. I would be happy to correspond with anyone that knew me when I went to school at Kimberley Public School, Danforth Technical School or worked at the University of Toronto, Imperial Oil Limited (Toronto) , SHL Systemhouse / MCI Toronto, Manulife (Kitchener) and Ontario Ministry of Health (Kingston) School I have all good memories about Public and High School (although fuzzy at times since it was so long ago). I went to Kimberley Street Public School (1948-1957)in the east end of Toronto ... got terrible grade, but made it through. Then I went on to attend Danforth Technical High School (1957-1961) where I received much better grades until I discovered girls ;-). only allowed me to enter one College although I attended two. The first was Ryerson Institute Of Technology (that later became a University). I took IT courses between 1964 and 1966 as a night student. Then I went to Sheridan College in Oakville between 1992 and 1995 where I took a certificate course in Wellness Education. Workplace I worked at Imperial Oil Limited in the Don Mills and Head Office locations but became a casualty of downsizing in 1992. I took a year off work and then worked for SHL Systemhouse for 4 years. I then started contracting (1996) and have been doing that ever since. I have contracted in Canada for Agora Foods, Manulife, and the Ontario Ministry of Health. I then moved to Australia (2000) and have contracted for the Dept of Education in Canberra, the Tax Dept, Queensland University of Technology, Suncorp, Brisbane City Council in Queensland and Centrelink. I would be happy to correspond with anyone that I have worked with at any of these organizations.
