Ted's Story
Since GJHS graduation in '68, I attended, what was then Mesa Jr College; then went on to Colorado State in Ft. Collins, CO, to earn a degree in Industrial Construction Management (ICM), '73. I began my full time career working in NW Colorado on the Hayden and Craig power stations as a construction safety supervisor with Stearns-Roger. After 4 years, I decided to pursue an advanced degree and earned my Masters in Construction Engineering Management (CEM) from Oregon State in Corvallis, OR, '81.
I then began a long career with CH2M Hill consulting engineers (now Jacobs Engineering) starting in 1979 as a construction cost estimator in Corvallis, OR. Since that time, my family and I have worked and lived in various places including overseas experiences in Alexandria, Egypt on a U.S.A.I.D. waster-water project (8yrs: '84-'88 & '90-'94). I also spent 3 months on the West Bank ('01) and 2 years in Saudi Arabia ('13-'15) on the KAUST university campus (King Abdulla University of Science & Technology) just north of Jeddah on the Red Sea.

tired in Sept of 2017 and am now enjoying my photographic interests, travels (domestic & international), our 3 granddaughters & 1 new grandson, and involvement with Engineers Without Borders (EWB) on projects in Honduras and Ecuador. I'm also on the board of directors of the CH2M HILL Alumni Association. We live in Cedar Mill, Oregon, an unincorporated area in Washington County, just north of Beaverton and west of downtown Portland. Due to our location we're not too far from Mt. Hood, to the east, and the Oregon Coast to the west. We have four sons and two daughter-in-laws. All live in the Portland, Oregon, metro area except our youngest son who completed his PTD (Physical Therapy Doctorate in 2002) and is currently working at the National Rehab Hospital in Washington DC.
We really enjoyed the Class of '68 GJHS 50-year reunion on September 26th and 27th of 2018, and appreciate & applaud all of the hard work of those who organized it. (Just FYI: I tend to be a bit delinquent in responding at times, but do enjoying hearing from GJHS friends.)
