tes. During the first Gulf war I was reassigned to 5th Fleet HDQ in Bahrain, I made 3 trips to the gulf region. I've had Kuwaiti nationals thank me for rescuing them-very humbling. Once I was the senior Americian officier at a meeting in Riyadh at Saudi Naval HDQ. I was briefing their CNO and his senior staff. They all thanked me and the US for our help. I cannot describe the pride I felt, for me serving our country was a privledge.".
