Tennie's Story
over the past 32 years my life has been full of ups and downs. I got married in 1980 to a wonderful man that my mom introduced me to, we are still married coming up on 29 years. In 1984 we had a beautiful daughter, 41/2 years later we had another beautiful daughter. When Caitlin was 5 days old a small cessna crashed in our backyard in burnsville. We moved from our house by the airport to get away from the planes and then this happens. Well after that I knew Caitlin was going to be trouble, though I didn't know to what degree. When she was 5 months old she got encephalitis and now she is blind, doesn't walk, talk, she is total care. But what a personality she has. Well a few years after the airplane incedent, I received in the mail a letter from the Minnesota Department of corrections. and was compiling a list of names and address from the newspaper. Well since our name was in the paper after the plane crash my daughters name was on his list. That was on of the most terrifying moments of my life.
On January 3, 1994 my mom was diagnosed with lung and she died on Tuesday January 11, 1994 at 7:00 in the morning. Three weeks before she died my Aunt Tennie died of lung cancer also.
My dad was diagnosed with lung cancer on mothers day of 2002, and he died Tuesday June 11, 2002 at 7:00 at night. It shows just how much he really missed my mom.
My life has now finally reached a quite point (for our house anyway).
I am unemployed at the time but loving every minute of it being able to take care of Caitlin like I am suppose to be, also because I really don't trust anyone else to watch her since she cannot protect herself.
Take care everyone
