Tera's Story
After I graduated LT, I went to Loyola University and majored in computing. From there, I went almost straight to Northwestern University to work, and I've been doing that for twenty-four years. I am an IT project manager in the Office for Research up at NU. I manage the development of large-scale computer applications used in research at the University.
Homelife - I was married for 13 years. I've been divorced for the last 11. I have a 18 year old son who just graduated from Lake Forest Academy and will be heading off to the University of Denver this fall.
Things that I've done since LT - bought a house, regretted buying said house after having lived there for 21 years, worked non-stop at Northwestern, played keyboard in a blues band, played blues in some of Chicago's sleeziest bars until ...Expand for more
4am, had the honor of playing blues with some of the best blues musicians in Chicago, driven to probably every hockey rink in northern illinois and spent countless hours in the freezing cold watching my son play hockey, became a certified personal trainer, realized that I hate computing after all these years and would have been better suited as a physical therapist, almost went to law school and then came to my senses, discovered that I really do like baseball - a lot, turned on the TV one day to find out that Jeff Hornacek played professional basketball - I was like, "hey, I know that guy!" when they said his name, and lastly, the best thing that I did since LT was to realize that I have absolutely no more direction in my life 29 years later than I had back then - my body just aches a bit more!
