Alicia's Story
After I finished eighth grade and my brother graduated high school in 1987, my mom and I moved from Eutaw, AL to Stamford, CT. I didn't like Connecticut at first but it kind of grew on me. I started to run track and I was kinda good at it. This became my motivation to stay. It also changed my personality. When I was younger, you could hardly get me to speak a full sentence. cribe me as the life of the party. I know that alot of my friends from my younger years will find that hard to believe because I was so shy. At times, I sit back and think about my younger years when my brother, my cousin and I would walk down to Amos store or go to the movies at Hook theater and I can't forget the rides on Webb's bus. I am happy that we moved to the big city but I still miss the good ole days of being in the country.
