Teresa's Story
We just got a new cat. Actually he really isn't new. My daughter Sarah is a senior at Wellesley College and now has her own dorm room. Although this is nice, it gets lonely, so in November she decided to get a kitten. ...Which is against the rules.
She brought him home with her on the plane to meet us at Christmas. That was an eight hour trip, and at the end, it became very fragrant, or not. Guess who bathed him after prying him out of the carrier? Not Sarah!
After Christmas he flew back to school with her and everything was fine until the dorm director receive...Expand for more
d an anonymous note telling her that Sarah was harboring an illegal cat. The school was actually very nice and gave her a week to get rid of the him. But at Christmas, we had bonded to the cat (to the tune of $500 for neutering and de-clawing) and Sarah couldn't face loosing him so she shipped him home to us. This cat's had more flight time than a lot of people.
We already have two cats who are old and grouchy. They didn't like the new family member. But an additional $100 paid for happy cat drugs and now they all get along. I hope Sarah doesn't get lonely again.
