Teresa's Story
I am happily married to my husband Rick. We have been together since 1994. We have finally found the place where we want to live, want to retire to...and that is sunny FL. I love Georgia and I always will. But once my son graduated from High School then left for the Air Force...well, there wasn't anything keeping us here. My heart and my family will always be here, this is where I grew up, this was my home for 41 years.
Now I am getting use to an early retirement of sorts. We live in a small town by the lake...I believe my husband has already fished the lake dry! LOL My dog knows that part of his walk now is always to the dock at least once(to see if any fish were caught.) We are really loving it there so far.
Our son is in the Air Force and we are so very proud of him. He is coming home soon for a visit and to introduce us to his girlfriend. What am I suppose to say to that? LOL If he is happy, then we are happy! I was married way younger than he is now...I turned out just fine. =) We miss him and are looking forward to spending time with them both. (Update since that was written) Our son Joey came home for a visit to introduce us to his wife, not his girlfriend. The little stinker went to Arkansas to meet her parents and they got married in a little church there. Needless to say, it was a surprise to us all...but good thing we fell in love with Karm...Expand for more
en the moment we met her. Joey isn't usually one to do things of that nature but he said that this was what was right for him. We are so happy for them both! It is just one more person for us to love and adore. Being able to love our family and friends makes us so happy...adding another soul to love is wonderful.
When we moved to FL...we had a few bumps in the road along the way...but six months later...we are happier than we have ever been and so eager to share that happiness and the amazing feelings we have with all of those we know and love. Life is better when you are older. You know more, you have lived more, you experience more with your mind and with your heart...I believe you appreciate things more when you are older than say...21 or even 35...I am excited to see what the 50's have in store for me!
I have found several classmates and old friends using Myspace. I started using it to stay in touch with my son when he moved to ND for the Air Force. It is amazing how all of this time has passed and when you find someone...all of the past memories come back to you. Most of us all have children the age we were when we had known each other...or older. =) So if you think that myspace is just for kids, it isn't. It is a fun way to keep in touch. I am under the last name I had in school, so look me up if you like. OH...and you can find me on Facebook too.
