Teresa's Story
Since leaving J P Knapp High School and Currituck County. I have been married 3 times (they say the third time is a charm and I must wholeheartedly agree). Between my present husband and I we have 8 children (I had 3 and he had 5, we raised them all together) and soon 11 grandchildren (one to be born in Nov). I continued my education by attending Harford Community College in BelAir, MD and received an AA in Accounting after I turned 30. I also went to truck driving school in PA and earned my CDL license, where I began driving with my present husband for 2 years from Harrisburg PA to Los Angeles, CA each week. It was during this time that we both fell in love with Kingman, AZ. So we decided to move to the Southwest. We're only 100 miles from Las Vegas and 200 miles from Phoenix and 350 miles from LA. Even though I was considered the NERD in high school, I have had a very wonderful life, filled with more riches than money could ever buy. We have a son stationed in Afghanistan, his wife and two children live in Germany. We have children living in PA, VA, NV and AZ.
Everyone should remember me as a skinny, mousy girl from high school....but not anymore....middle age spread has definitely kicked in and my hair is no longer mousy brown but a gl...Expand for more
orious gray (when not covered with blonde, hehe). I still love libraries and reading. I have tremendous fun making candies for my grandchildren for holidays and spending time with the little ones. I have a huge collection of DVD's and spend leisure time playing "The Sims 2" on my computer.
My husband and I now live alone with our constant companion, Celtic (a very loveable pitbull) (also Celtic is like the music not the sports team from Boston). I work for a local concrete construction company (which construction is my accounting expertise) as the office manager cum accountant.
Most of my family still live in North Carolina, I however love the traveling and residing in different places. Since leaving NC I have lived in VA, LA, TX, CA, MD, PA, FL and now AZ. But I would have to say that I loved every place I have ever lived....if you keep your eyes wide open you will see beauty any place you travel.
My husband and I are in the process of moving back to PA to be closer to his family and my family.
Anyway, this is pretty much me in a nutshell. I think fondly of my days at JP Knapp High School, I had quite a few really great friends that I think of often as I have gotten older. I hope they are all doing fine.
Nice chatting with ya! Teresa
