Teresa's Story
Hey Gang! If you are reading this then you probably remember me or maybe seem familiar. Seems like a whole lot has happened since high school. I finally left Jasper in 1997 and moved to Gulfport Mississippi. Got hit by Hurricane George the week I moved here. Pretty quiet until Hurricane Katrina. Very tragic,lots of terrible memories,time to move on. I've became a nurse in 1983. I practiced nursing until 1997.(Still keep my license current as a Plan B) Tried the at home Mom thing. Not very profitable so I got a job at a Mardi Gras and teacher supply store that allowed the freedom I needed to be available for the little ones I had at home. Got 3 of those. 28 yr old boy, 18 yr old girl and 17 year old girl. They are all here in MS with me. The 18 year old is in her freshman year at USM. The 17 year old is a high ...Expand for more
school senior this year. I've been married for 20 years now. My husband and I both now work for a defense contractor building Naval and Coast Guard vessels. LOVE IT! We are also members of a Mardi Gras Krewe. We ride 2 parades a year. I'm just fat, sassy and loving life right now. Waiting til the kids get out of college so me and the hubby can buy some Harley's and hit the road. I do have to admit some of the connections I've made with old friends just didn't come off like I expected. Too much time has passed perhaps, poor memories, Alzheimers, who knows. I understand. Just so you all know, I remember everyone like it was yesterday, good, bad or indifferent. But I do continue to feel a fondness for all my old aquaintances and friends and hope you holler at me if you get a chance.
