Teresa's Story
Life
I am a mother of three beautiful children and a "Nana" of a wonderful grandson. My children are all grown and successful young adults!!! I own a home in Conneaut but no longer live there. I have divorced and moved away from good old Conneaut. I'm only about 60 minutes away so I am able to keep in touch with family and friends. I presently work for the Ash. County Joint Vocational School as the Job Training Coordinator. I teach Job Training Skills to Students with Special Needs.
School
I have many fond memories of my school years. I mostly enjoyed hanging out with friends. About me since high school graduation?? Well, let's see...after I was done having babies, in the eighties, I went on to college and got my teaching degree. I then went on and got my Masters in Special Education. I have been an educator for the past 14 years. I am presently the Special Education Coordinator at the ACJVS. It's a very busy and challenging job. I love it though...Expand for more

College
I attended Ash. Kent Branch from 1987-1990. I then went on to Edinboro University from 1990-1992. Started at Youngstown State in 1993 to work on my Masters in Special Education. I finished with my Masters in 1998.
Workplace
I have been an educator for the past 16 years and love it!! I have taught special needs students (from pre-school age on up to high school) for 10 years and been the Special Education coordinator, at the ACJVS, for the next four school years. I found my job to be very challenging, but also very rewarding!! Nothing better than seeing how successful my students have become. I love watching them graduate from high school and assisting them in being productive citizens!! From 2006 on through the present school year--I have worked as the Job Training Coordinator at Howland High School in Warren, OH but still employed through the ACJVS. I teach special needs students on the job training skills as well as employability skills!!
