Teri's Story
Life
I have lived in many parts of California since I graduated from P.V..
I went to Chico Beauty College right after High School, but, before I finished I moved to Sunnyvale and got married and was attending De Anza College in Cupertino. While in what was then called the "Silicon Valley" I worked for IBM in the personnel department, I left there and worked for a large computer company at time, called Dysan. My husband became involved in substances that I decided I didn't want to let ruin my life.
I decided that maybe it was time to go back to a simpler life in Chico. After a couple years I married again, to a very successful business man. We had our first girl, and I was a stay at home mom. Then his job caused us to move to a beach house in Carlsbad, CA. Then we had to move again to Citrus Hieghts, CA. While there we had our second girl. He had been struggling with a drinking problem, that he couldn't control, and that I chose not to expose our daughters to. I again came home to Chico in '89 and a simpler life to raise my girls.
I ran a Licensed childcare for 10 years. In that time I married again in '93, a painting contractor who had a teenage daughter of his own. We had one more daughter in '95 and we moved our family to Durham in '98, at which...Expand for more
time I closed my daycare. Durham has been a wonderful community and it is a terriffic place to raise children. I have worked with my contractor brother, I have been an eligibility worker for Butte County, and I have done my time at United Health Care. I worked for a period of time at the Home Depot. I am currently In the process of divorcing my husband, and I have been working at Sears for over a year now.
I spend a lot of my time helping my girls and community with 4-H, FFA, and Cheerleading, I have coached/managed Little League for three years. I have had several horses, and many other pets. I love horses, photography, dancing, fishing, camping, art, and being outdoors. I enjoy many kinds of music especially Country.
My daughter Ashley got married, Sept. '05. They are currently living in Mt. Shasta, where he is a CHP Officer, and they have blessed us with a beautiful granddaughter. Chelsea the 21 year old graduated '07 and is attending Butte College for her 4th year. She plans on getting a degree in business. She was a four year officer in the FFA and a 3 year Cheerleader. Courtney is 15, and has been very involved in many sports, and cheer-leading, she has a beautiful voice, and is an incredible writer, writing stories, poems and songs.
