Teri's Story

Howdy all. Wow, since 1990 a lot has happened I guess. Yes, I DID graduate...to all you fellow skippers. I moved to Eden Priairie, MN for a year. Then moved to Marysville/Yuba City in California for a year. Moved back to Garden City where I had my first son Brandon. Went to college and got a Acounting/MicroComputer Specialists A.A.S. Degree. Moved to Mankato, MN. Ended up almost married then backed out after buying my dress. Had my second son Tyler. Met my husband. I actually met him on New Years at the old Caledonia Bar in Mankato as we had a mutual friend. (Funny story behind that, but gotta talk to me in person for that one). Got married at the Rennassiance in Shakopee, MN (as you all remember, I liked to do things my way and different from the rest) to Chuck Braaten who was originally from Columbus, OH but moved to MN with family and went to MSU. Chuck also had a son he brought to the marriage so have a step son Jesse who lives in Minneapolis, MN. Kids are now 15 Brandon, 15 Jesse and 13 Tyler. Anyways, I worked as a Blackjack dealer in Minneapolis, housekeeping in California, odd jobs here and there before I went to work for Wolf Etter and CO (now know as Eide Bailly, LLP) for 10 years after graduating from college. Was an internal accountant for a while, Assistant Network Administrator and then specialist in Sales and Use tax and finally the Tax Partner's assistant before I couldn't stand to work there anymore. Currently work as the Office Administrator for my dad's company Letcher Farm Supply, LLC in Garden City. My husband landscaped, drove semi and currently is a Warehouse Manager for my dad at Letcher Farm Supply, LLC also. Living in Mapleton currently.....Expand for more
.yes...rival school. Kids are in all kinds of sports so attend lots of games. For fun I scrapbook, and we have friends over to play pool, cards or sit in our hot tub. So, that's a quick update of my life. I'm sure it's pretty boring compared to most, but works for me. :) As far as high school and the wildest thing I ever did, well, just are a lot to pick from. As you know, I spent more time out of school than in it my senior year, so plenty of wild stories. Starting to forget them, but are more than enough to remember. I am real good at catching the kids when they try to skip or go where they were told not to. They get busted a lot, but I chalk that up to all the crap I pulled on my parents and family. So, they tell their friends they don't get away with crap at our house. Pretty true I would have to say. But we do a lot a family things with the kids too. I am real good at Rock band. I sing well and pay the drums the best. Plus I can kick their butts in pool, so lots of fund with that too. I saw Mr. Escher as the ref at my sons game the other day, so brought back a lot of memories there playing sports and gym. It was fun to see the Garden City school again, but too bad they changed it to apartments. I hear they are really nice. I see all the changes at Lake Crystal H.S. too. Hard to believe it was that long ago we went to school and that the schools all fell apart. Even Vernon Center Elem is no longer a school. Wow, how the world changes. Heck, it even surprised me going up by Mankato State. Man how that has changed! Well anyways, hope everyone is doing well. Would be fun to catch up and talk to people, so don't be afraid to drop me a line. Take care!
