Teri's Story
Hi everyone! Here is an updated rundown of my life as of January of 2023.. As most of you, I turned 65 this year and retired which still is a shock to me. We can’t be 65 yet, can we????????? Life is still very good for me as I’m in good health and am enjoying the time retirement offers me. While I loved teaching English for 38 years, I find that I am much more relaxed now because I am retired. I’m less rushed and stressed and seem to enjoy my life more now than ever before.
I’m the organist at our church which is an excellent challenge for me. I’m also working on our family’s genealogy and I find it to be fascinating. Duane and I will have been married for 42 years in June of ‘23, and we still like each other! He won’t...Expand for more
retire for two more years, so he’s busy with that while I am finding plenty to do at home to keep me busy.
Our daughters are grown with families of their own. Our two dogs have become our pseudo daughters that keep us entertained. We love all of our daughters very much (but I won’t say who we love more, the girls or the dogs!!!)
Future plans include taking a couple of trips around the U.S.A. and reading as many books as possible. I’m always ready to work outside in the gardens when the weather cooperates and would love to have a greenhouse of my very own.
Life is wonderful and I am very happy. I hope all is well with you.The older I’ve gotten the more I realize how important my classmates were and still are to me. 💕
