One of Terrance's favorite quotes is:"Romans 1:18-32 -- For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Jesus Christ. It is God's powerful method of bringing all who believe it to heaven. This message was preached first to the Jews alone, but now everyone is invited to come to God in this same way. This Good News (the Gospels) tells us that God makes us ready for heaven-- makes us right in God's sight-- when we put our faith and trust in Christ to save us. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scripture says it, "The man who finds life will find it through trusting God." But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, evil men who push away the truth from them. For the truth about God is known to them instinctively; God has put this knowledge in their hearts. Since earliest times men have seen the earth and sky and all God made, and have known of his existence and great eternal power. So they will have no excuse [when they stand before God at Judgment Day]. Yes, they knew about him all right, but they wouldn't admit it or worship him or even thank him for all his daily care. And after awhile they began to think up silly ideas of what God was like and what he wanted them to do. The result was that their foolish minds became dark and confused. Claiming themselves to be wise without God, they became utter fools instead. And then, instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they took wood and stone and made idols for themselves, carving them to look like mere birds and animals and snakes and puny men. So God let them go ahead into every sort of sex sin, and do whatever they wanted to-- yes, vile and sinful things with each other's bodies. Instead of believing what they knew was the truth about God, they deliberately chose to believe lies. So they prayed to the things God made, but wouldn't obey the blessed God who made these things. That is why God let go of them and let them do all these evil things, so that even their women turned against God's natural plan for them and indulged in sex sin with each other. And the men, instead of having normal sex relationships with women, burned with lust for each other, men doing shameful things with other men and, as a result, getting paid within their own souls with the penalty they so richly deserved. So it was that when they gave God up and would not even acknowledge him, God gave them up to doing everything their evil minds could think of. Their lives became full of every kin...Expand for more
d of wickedness and sin, of greed and hate, envy, murder, fighting, lying, bitterness, and gossip. They were backbiters, haters of God, insolent, proud, braggarts, always thinking of new ways of sinning and continually being disobedient to their parents. They tried to misunderstand, broke their promises, and were heartless-- without pity. They were fully aware of God's death penalty for these crimes, yet they went right ahead and did them anyway and encouraged others to do them, too.". More about Terrance:"I AM . . . . . . a Loner. Not exactly sure why, but it always seems to end up that way. . . . very Focused. Whether I'm working (office or yard), studying, playing, socializing, exercising or just goofing off, I like to be 100% in the moment. If I can't give my full attention/effort to something, I would rather not do it at all. . . . Misunderstood. People's pre-conceived ideas of what I'm like are very different from who I really am. I hope! . . . an Impartial, Independent Thinker. I refuse to follow just because everyone else is. Hmmm... maybe that's why I'm a loner. 5 STRONGEST CONVICTIONS: #1. Jesus (who is GOD in the flesh) is the only One who can get someone into Heaven. Sola Christos! #2. GOD has and is speaking to mankind through His Word and the Bible. #3. If it ain't Biblical, it ain't Christian. Sola Scriptura! #4. It Is What It Is... so if you can't change it, make the most of it. #5. Always try to do your best. You never know who's watching. IF I COULD, I CERTAINLY WOULD . . . . . . do something others would appreciate . . . be more creative . . . take a river cruise through Europe . . . hang glide . . . speak multiple foreign languages . . . ride a motorcycle cross country TOP 5 PLACES I'VE MOST ENJOYED: #1. Hilton Head Island, South Carolina #2. Maui, Hawaii #3. Kauai, Hawaii #4. Negril, Jamaica (tied with Las Vagas) #5. St. Thomas, Virgin Islands GUESS WHAT. . . . . . I can take an 8 or 9 hour car trip alone and never turn on a radio or anything. . . . I've been para-sailing, snorkeling, jet skiing and body surfing in the Gulf and the Caribbean... and I can't swim a stroke. . . . I find thunder storms very soothing and relaxing (when they're not too severe). . . . I NEVER watch live TV; I TiVo EVERYTHING including the news and sports. . . . I enjoy reading Conan The Barbarian novels. The movies suck. I WOULD LIKE TO BE REMEMBERED AS . . . . . . someone who truly loved and desired to please the LORD. . . . someone who led by example and tried very hard to live what he believed. . . . someone who was willing to contend for what is right or against what is wrong, even if it meant standing alone. . . . someone who really made a difference in the lives of those who knew him. . . . a good role model. MY ULTIMATE GOALS: 1. First and foremost, to hear my Lord God tell me, "Well done good and faithful servant!" (Matthew 25:23) 2. To be a good bass player. (smile) I started way too late to be great.".
