Terrence's Story

Life Hello this is great, thus far I have enjoyed life. After leaving Roberson and moving to Detroit I have to say life have been one great learning experience, I went into the military and traveled around the world from Germany to France, Italy, Spain, Korea to Saudia Arabia threw Desert Shield to the Storm and return to the United States, and learn to jump out of air planes to become a combat vet. It was during my jumping out of planes I broke my leg and it ended my military career after 5 years. I have three beautiful children, two in college and one in the second grade, ha ha ha but that ok, my oldest is my son who is at SCAD(Savannah College Arts Design) that is the sister school to the New York Performing Arts School. My second child is my little girl in Hampton Vigina at Hampton University studing Psychology and my gift from God is my baby who is seven going on seventy who thinks she can tell me what to do, but I love her anyway.Right now I am employed by KODAK Polychrome Graphics. I am in school myself at the University of Phoenix here in Columbus Ga, South of Atlanta. Studying Computer Science and have 2 more years to go. I am trying to better myself for my baby, so I can teach her the things I have learned, So She can be a wonderful wife and Blessing to God. I must say that school was the most interesting place for me, even if I only went to particular classes that I favoered the most, they really effected my life greatly, and the teachere had the greatest influence in my career. I favored band with Mr. Latimore, R.O.T.C Sargent Stewart and Sargent Burns, ...Expand for more
Lunch I love to Cook and Math Mrs. Johnson. All these teacher had the greatest influence on my life and for that I thank God for the leadership path that they headed me for for the training experience they had and freely gave me, my greatest memories other than that was playing in the band... and I stil love music and my son is just the same. Military I went into the military in 1987 to Ft. Sill, Ok and trained in the feild of artillary, was there for 8(eight) months, this was a very eye opening experience for my on my view on life and how the real military funtion. Once I completed Basic Training and Advance Infanty Training, I soon departed for Bamburg, Germany and was there for 3yrs(three) and toured Euorpe everywhere from France, Berlin, Frankfurt, Italy and Burchous Garden Germay during the October Festival. While in Germany I did a six(6) month tour on he DMZ in korea, after that I came back to the United States for a tour at FT. Benning Ga. While in Ft. Benning I went to Air Borne School and broke my leg and was in a cast for 3 long months. While in the hospital I met and fell head over heels in love with my wife, who was on active duty like myself and she put me back together. We were married for one month before I had to go to Saudia Aribia for combat tour during Desert Sheild and Desert Storm, was there for the first year of our marriage, and there it was a strong reality on how short life can be, and it wasn't easy on anyone. For that I respect the soliders during Vetinam Time with much Love. For this I have a new found respect for life and how short it can be.
