Terrence's Story
Reflecting on my life so far...been married and divorced, have a daughter, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. I've worked at Pacific Telehone/AT&T/Lucent Technologies/Avaya for 25 years. They gave me the "golden parachute" so I started working for the Los Angeles Unified School District for another 13 years. All of my jobs were in telecommunications from project management to programming. I finally retired 8 years ago and enjoying retired life. Spend a lot of time with my great grandson, Billy. He keeps me young. We spend time in my raised garden, kick the soccer ball around, and play catch (baseball). I've done some traveling within the country. I really haven't had a huge desire to see the world although I wouldn't mind seeing New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, and a few other places. I've always been an auto racing fan and had a bucket list of tracks I wanted to see...that I have accomplished. Now it is seeing all of the major league baseball parks. layed baseball and actually played at Cal State Fullerton (Division One) and graduated. Another played baseball at the JC level for a couple of years. Another grand daughter was into cheer and another grandson plays lacrosse. My great grandson has started to play club soccer for a little over 2 years now. He has played almost all of the positions. That make Mom happy. Billy joined a travel baseball team this year. He has won the center field position. He pitches for them and is their number 3 starter. Billy throws hard and is working on consistency. He has a quick bat like his uncles. He has become a very solid outfielder with little to no errors. His sister Cora has played AYSO soccer for 3 years now and she is quite the athlete like her brother. She just started her first year playing softball. We will see how that goes. Audrey is too young to play organized sports but she is chomping at the bit to play soccer and softball. My latest Great Grandchild was just born in December. He is Casey's first born. He is a long way off from playing sports. With all the spare time I do quite a bit of container gardening. I have always enjoyed photography so I have plenty of time for it too.
