Theresa's Story
Life
Hi All!
I have been happily married to my husband Jerry for 36 years. I have 4 kids - Damian 36, Julie 33, Darrell 31, And Shawn 29. We have lived in NY, FL, and now PA. We have traveled around the country on our vacations and let the kids experience many different types of life styles. My daughter Julie is now married to Shane, and we have a wonderful 16-yr. old grandson, Shane Jr., twin 7-yr. old granddaughters, Isabella and Brianna and 21-month-old Matthew. They are the light of my life. Darrell is also married now to Linda. They have a beautiful little boy, Alexander James-4.
I have spent a lot of time working out of the home while I raised my children. I had a daycare center in FL and made crafts to order. I was concentrating on my writing career. I have had short stories and poems published and I have a book proposal for a teen mystery, which I was writing. Unfortunately, that has had to be put on hold while I continue to recover from Brain surgery and Meningitis.
I have always enjoyed writing and reading, and must admit that books are my vice. I garden, do crafts and am involved in my community.

I was part of the exchange program that went to England. The friendship that I made then has lasted all these years. Karen and some of her family members have visited us over the years. Her Children stayed with us and our children stayed with her. Now she is again coming to stay with us. What a wonderful circle we started.
The wildest thing I ever did while I was still in school was to hitchhike from PA to NY to meet up with a guy who never showed.
My heroes were my grandparents and my mother. My grandparents opened their hearts and their homes to so many people. If friends showed up at dinner time, another plate was set and there was always room for one more. My Mother, whom most of you remember, is my hero because she gets knocked down but always gets back up. She is now 81, on Oxygen 24-7, has Arthritis but she is still going strong. She has a small sewing business, is a landlady, and is involved in the church and her social clubs.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Mike Howe, because He was like a brother to me. He was there for the worst moment in my young life and he was there for some of the best moments. I miss him..
