I went to Glenwood Elementary then Armuchee HS graduating in 1977.
I had gone to New Armuchee Baptist Church all my life until about 1979 when I started going to West Rome Baptist. There, I met Mike Manning in 1981. Mike is from the Atlanta area and graduated from Shorter College.
We married 13 months later on 9/3/82.

Our daughter, Meredith, was born 9/2/86 (a few hours before our 4th anniversary). She is at Spartanburg Community College studying nursing.
Our son, Matt, was born 1/28/88. He is a 2010 graduate of Clemson majoring in Bio-Engineering.
In 1989, we moved to SC for Mike's job. He has been with BASF Corp. for 20 years now.
When we moved to Spartanburg, I went back to school and got my BSN at Clemson. Go Tigers!
I have worked for Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System since 1992. I've been in the Employee Health department since 2000. In October 2008, the hospital system opened a new hospital, the Village Hospital, in Greer, SC. I am over there most of the time now. I am one of the Village people.
Mike and I are active members of First Baptist Spartanburg.
The nest is empty. Neither of our children are married and we are not grandparents.
I got on Facebook, however, so that I could see pictures of a friend's grandbaby. Now I'm hooked!
