Terri's Story

If you see Golf under Interests, just know that I am not an avid golfer. I actually suck at it, but it's still fun. I've taken a few lessons at the driving range but have yet to venture out on a real course. Skiing I took up when I was 40ish (um wait, how can that be if I'm still in my 30s ... oh that's right, I suck at math too! hee, hee), anyway I am not a terribly great skier either, but I give myself kudos for taking it up at a time when my bones are getting brittle and more susceptible to breakage! I just like to try different things and have fun. My son and I took up golf together for a mother/son activity. It gets more difficult to connect with them as they get to be teenagers. Skiing/snowboarding is something we all took up as a family activity. We are going to try to hang onto the kids and family activities for as long as we can. It's amazing how quickly they grow up. We are all a bit crazy, but that's what makes my family fun to be around!!! I love them all dearly!!! 0;-) Another thing that I am enjoying as I get older is having Girls' Night Out to go see sappy cry movies. Hubby doesn't get why I enjoy crying so much. Honestly? I have no frickin idea ... I just do!!! lol I have a degree in Computer Information Systems but still do not know what I want to be wh...Expand for more
en I grow up. Having switched jobs a few times in the last 3 years, the list of things that I don't want to be is getting longer, but I'm not sure how much closer I am to finding the perfect job for me. I am currently a project manager and work with school districts from VA to MI to CT to convert them over to our school information system. I've been there 9 months now and as I learn the job am enjoying it more and more. I really like project management, so I just may be onto something here ... keep your fingers crossed for me! I wish that I knew in High School what I know today. Outside of my group of school friends, I kept a lot of things to myself and was quiet in school (my current friends do NOT believe that). I would have liked to been more outgoing and less shy. I had no self confidence back then. It's a shame we can't go back and do it all over with the knowledge we gain as we grow older! NO, I do NOT want to go back and do it over. I was just saying, that's all. Life is good now in my 30s or 40s or however old I am these days. I am like a fine wine .... (shut up, I was serious) Oh and one last thing. For those of you who have known me for a long time, 'yes' Gail is still my dearest friend!!! (Even though she is the one laughing the hardest at the 'fine wine' comment!)
