After graduating from Western High School in 1966 I attended Howard University where I earned a Bachelor of Architecture Degree in 1972; I then attended The Graduate School of Design at Harvard University where I earned a Master of Architecture in Urban Design Degree in 1976. In 1984 I obtained my Architectural Registration Certification in Washington, D.C. Over the course of the past 30 years I have: served as Chief of Urban Design for the District of Columbia's D.C. Office of Planning where I created the City's first Urban Design Plan; the Downtown D.C. Development Plan; The Downtown D.C. Streetscape Standards; I was an adjunct professor of City Planning at the University of Virginia's School of Architecture, (Northern Campus); the University of The District of Columbia's Department of City Planning; I was the Chief of City-Wide and Downtown Planning for the district of Columbia's D.C.
