Terry's Story

Life I am happily married. Yesterday I celebrated my 30th wedding anniversary! I have a wonderful husband named Robert who I met in Florida on spring break a year after I graduated from TLSS. We have two beautiful children...well not so child-like any more. After a year of College and 9/11 ...My son Nick, currently 28, chose to serve in the United States Navy and has been to Iraq and met the President ...yep that was his ship that George Bush Flew in on. He came home in August of 2006 on our 25th anniversary and he has finished his second year of college and has begin his Electrical apprenticeship. Our Lovely 26 year old Daughter Andrea, received her degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement and is planning an October wedding in Vegas to her fiancé Russ who we love like one of our own. She is the apple of my eye. We are very proud of both of them. We live in a US border town across the river from Wallacburg Ontario. The town is called Algonac Michigan. It feels very much like Orillia because of all the water. I feel right at home here. I think about my school days quite a bit and I smile. Some of the crazy days at the "PAV" and all of the Coffee House dances...oh and Horseshoe Valley were the ones that I most reflect on. Oh and don't forget all of the water skiing and a little partying too. ;o) I am retired after 22 years of steadily working most recently in an Automotive Design group serving as the Design Data Administrator for our company. I managed all of the car designs from the concept and prototypes to the engineering changes for the current models for all of the big three and others like Jaguar, Toyota, Volkswagen, Mitsubishi etc. I was also the Corporate Primary Security Administrator for the all of the Web sites for Chrysler Ford and Gm and Freightliner. Until a recent hiring freeze, I did Corporate Planning, Training and Communications. There I was in charge of hourly employee development, and I also worked in the IS department at our Company doing the Basic Network, Lotus Notes and Microsoft Training. I have trained in many countries due to the size of our Company. I've trained in Canada, USA, Australia and even New Zealand. My husband is an all around machinist/ Tool and Die Maker/Fixture builder and currently he is a Supervisor of a small machine shop. He is close to home for the...Expand for more
first time and likes it very much. We enjoy boating and camping and travel and quiet times like rainy days in November watching Basketball. Oh, did I tell you I am a basketball junky...Go Pistons! Well I could go on forever but I will end in saying that I have been truly blessed in my life. I have returned to school to study nursing at the local college. I enjoy learning so much more that I did back when.... well you know what I mean. School I did like Leonard Sheir Jon Green, and I had a huge crush on Craig Dormer for ...oh my whole school life. I know that he is married and doing great...and I am so happy for him. Most of the time I was in school I wasted trying to save my failing relationship with Dave...(he knows who is). I don't know what happened to Dave. His brother Brian was hot though :o) I loved French ...I couldn't speak the language very well... but Mo was great, Sudds Sutherland was cool too. Euphonium was just ok but I loved music because of Sudds. I stopped in after 20 years and he still looks great. Danny McDonald...I miss you and your craziness. I remember you always getting us in trouble in History with Mr Lankin. He had a slight twitch and it looked like he was winking. Danny used to wink back at him when his back was to us. Oh and the adams apple thing. Popping it up and down over your ruler... I have to tell you my son is your double as far as being the class clown. You made the days go by so fast and I thank you and miss you. Football games and coffee house dances... oh and the ski trips. They rocked. School was great ... a trying time in my life but school rocked. College Currently and retired and have returned to school to get my Nursing degree through St. Clair Community College here in Michigan. Most of my past schooling is in Corproate Training that I took in Toronto through the Langivine Learning Center and I learned some CAD data administration /Automotive Design. Military After a year of College and 9/11 ...My son Nick, 25, chose to serve in the United States Navy and has been to Iraq and met the President ...yes that was his ship that George Bush Flew in on. He was a plane captain/structural mechanic. He came home in August of 2006 on my 25th anniversary and he is in his second year of Electrical Apprenticeship and works for Motor City Electric.
