Hello All, I recently took two years off from Originating mortgage loans due to the wild and crazy competition of careless and dishonest Loan Officer's who would "bait and switch" borrowers into signing mortgage loans they could not afford. I traveled all over the country examining these closed loans and grading them for purchase by major investors such as Bear Stearns, Countrywide etc. My travels took me to San Juan Puerto Rico where I spent nine months working at one of the island's major banks which was in grave trouble with the FDIC. After thirty days of performing my normal functions I was taken to the processing department to teach them how to process and submit FHA loans which would be insurable and saleable in the continental U.S. I was introduced to nine Processors who were told to follow my directions in performing their job duties. The introduction was in English and I thought I was on top of the world.
