Terry's Story

I am retired and lives in Newport, NC. I've had 4 careers over 60 years. Started as an elementary school teacher (7 years in Upstate NY).. Moved to Phoenix, AZ. in 1972 where I was an Airport Mgr. for Avis-Rent-A-Car. (7 years). In 1982 moved to North Carolina. Gained an accounting degree and became R&D Controller for Burroughs Pharmaceutical Co. Stayed at that company for 15 year and was offered an early retirement at 52. and returned to the work force in 2014 . Was employed as a Credit Analyst with Verizon for 10 years. Retired again, in 2015. I have 2 children (s0n and daughter) 2 granddaughters, and 5 g)reat grandchildren. I live by myself with my Furbaby (Peanut who is a 8 lb. chihuahua.) I live close to my son and granddaughter in NC. with her children. My daughter and granddaughter live in Austin TX. Enjoying the slow pace of retirement in a town of 5,000 residents.
