I enlisted in the Army Reserve in April 1986, and spent nine months in South Carolina and Georgia for training. Upon returning from active duty I moved into an apartment in South Pasadena, and went to work for a company in Garden Grove renting and selling equipment to nightclubs, mobile DJs, auditoria, etc. Another couple of months after starting there, I also accepted a position as the DJ in the dance club in the Newport Beach Marriott on Fashion Island. I was laid up for several months due to a spinal fracture when my motorcycle was hit by a car from behind in '88. To take it easy on my back, I took the position of technical manager of the Chuck E. Cheese's in Pasadena. Within a few months, I was able to also get back into club DJ work and began working for Reuben's (mainly the Arcadia location), Excess in Glendale, R.J. Grin's in the Glendale Red Lion, The Palace in Hollywood, and Glam Slam in Downtown L.A. I was married on January 28, 1995, and my wife and I moved to Las Vegas the following April.
