Life
After graduating from Cal State Sacramento (BA Biology/Chemistry) I moved to Southern California to work at Marineland of California. Great place to live and work! Worked with marine mammals - dolphins, whales, seals, sea lions, walruses, etc. Primary work (and favorite part) was rehabilitating sick, injured and orphaned animals for return to the sea. Eventually went from trainer to curator to director. Left in 2001 to travel, consult, write and start a website. Over the years I've written several papers for professional journals and two book chapters on marine mammals. My first complete book, "Starting Your Career As A Marine Mammal Trainer" was recently published, has gotten some nice reviews and is selling quite well. Over the years I've had some great adventures and met some wonderful people (and animals). Maybe some day I'll grow up, get a real job and settle down. Would love to hear from you.
