I passed and went next door and enlisted in Nike missle defense.Went to EL Paso for 2 years where I transfered to Military Police and proceded to voluntier for Viet Nam in 1967. Spent 8 months playing there before I was sent to the hospital for 4 months. I came back home in sept 68 ansd was discharged. They gave me my military issue clothes and a bunch of medals and let me go. OH ! After I enlisted and went to basic training they sent me a letter telling me I was 4A and eligible for the draft. y Jr year. We made a baby in 1977 called Michele. Michele graduated from Savanna High and went to Chapman Univ wher she double majored and now works as a victoms advocate in Orange CO Juvenile ct. in 2002. For 14 years thru all this I worked 2 jobs, grocery management and pawn shop asst mgr because my wife, Janet was halving three surgeries that almost killed her. We made it thru all of this even after finding in 1980 that our adopted daughter ,LISA, had minimal brain damage at birth causing voices, and obsessive compulsion behavior. It was fun but we are still all together. We moved back to Anaheim in 1978 where we stayed until I retired due to a disability. We moved to a Senior Citizens park in 2007 wher we are today. In the past six years I have had 2 low back fusions, a cervical fusion, a bypass of the entire artery in my left leg, caroted artery on the left side, and elbow surgery to fix a displaced nerve from a collision with a wall during a Banning baskball game in 1963. And now? I am really enjoying my retirement.
