Terry's Story
Hello Mustangs! It has been close to 50 years since we graduated. It seems like a century ago, yet in some ways only a very short time. We should all be greatful for the years we had when the South Bay was so beautiful and simple.
After graduating I set out for college at Washington State University to study Pharmacy. Pullman is a small city in eastern Washington and was quit a change for a beach boy. This was a great time in my life. I spent 5 years at WSU and was married my last year. Graduated in 1967.
After WSU I returned to Hermosa for a short time. I was hired by Long Beach Memorial hospital and so moved to Long Beach then Huntington Beach. Over the next 3 years we had two kids, one son Eric and a daughter Erin. Worked at Memorial for 12 years and moved to Mission Viejo and employment at Mission Community Hospital. Moved to Dana Point.
Worked at Mission for 8 years. My first marriage ended. I met a great lady and was married in 1981.

to Hermosa into the house I grew up in on Ardmore. Spent 2 years there and went to USC for my Master's in Business Administration. We remodeled the old house back to where in was the 50-60's.
After Hermosa we moved up to my current residence on Whidbey Island. Whidbey is about 25 miles NW of Seattle. Have been here 14 years now. During that time I opened a Pharmacy and ran it for 8 years. Sold the business and sort of semi-retired. My second marriage ended and I am now in a committed relationship. We are pretty happy on the island. This is a beautiful area and away form the hustle and bustle of city life.
The kids are now 41 and 37 years old. Eric has lived on Maui for the last 22 years. He is a bartender and surfs the 'big ones'. Still a bachleor. Erin lives in Santa Maria. She is married and has one child.
I still think a lot about the friends I had growing up in Hermosa. It amazes me how quickly the time has passed. I hope to hear from some of you.
