Terry's Story
Never was a roadie travelling with the band, so I don't have any great stories of that kind to tell, and will never receive the call informing me to quit my job beause we're getting the band back together one more time!
But I have been to Graceland!
Let's see, I have four daughters and one son (ages 32-15), and a grandson (6) and granddaughter (2). I hope for many more grandchildren. I attended VCU, the University of South Carolina, and finally graduated from the University of Richmond several times. No, I didn't flunk out, just couldn't make up my mind. I am also a graduate of The Rappahannock Regional Criminal Justice Academy. I love Richmond and VCU basketball, and think HoopsTown is a splendid new name for the City of Richmond. Coaching little league softball and baseball pleasantly occupied my springs and early summers for many, many years and I was PTA President a few times. I have a penchant for law enforcement, cooking, furniture making, and gardening. II've traveled a bit for both pleasure and work. d anticipate visiting Asia in the near future. Although, Virginia is as wonderful and interesting a place to visit as any.
I enjoy antique automobiles and will have some of my own if I hold on to my current vehicles a little longer.
Retirement will be at the end of 2011 and while banking has been good to me, it was never quite the exciting life adventure I was anticipating. I see thisfirst retirement as a second high school graduation, but starting this time with an improved understanding of myself and the world.
am planning several more careers before my children finally place me in assisted living. I am confident of a few more adventures before that occurs.
I can function in Spanish and German, and understand some Korean, but I would love to be fluent in more than just English.
I see and speak with some of you from time to time and recognize still others while out and about. I keep in touch with Mike Bowles who moved near to Volgograd, Russia with his extremely capitalist, Russian wife several years ago.
Last but not least, I must mention my lovely wife. She is very good to me and wonderful in many ways. She is a terrific cook, talented singer and pianist, but not necessarily in that order. She is also my best friend.
