Terry's Story
Life
After a short stint at Dekalb Junior College ,I hired on at Southern Bell waiting to enter the USAF. I worked there for almost a year when the call came.
I left for basic training on Dec. 27th 1967.I was in the 532nd and 533rd Strategic Missile Squadrons at McConnnel AFB from Mar. 1968 until my discharge in Dec. 1971. I was an instructor my last year. I loved my job as an MFT ( Missile Facilities Technician ). We had alot of fun and a few serious times. It was not co-ed then, man if it had been , what an Alert Duty that would have been!
Met a wonderful woman and got married again in Jan. 200...Expand for more
4, life is good. We have 3 children, 2 daughters-in-law, and 2 grandchildren.
I retired from Bellsouth/ATT in Sept. of 07. I love being retired and working around our home and property. So much less stress, and I stay very busy.It seems so much better when you are doing it for yourself.
Still appreciate the men and women that served and continue to serve today. The Vietnam Era military was not treated the same as they are today, I am thankful that the Military is now looked upon more favorably.
God Bless
Terry
