Terry's Story
My checkered career past includes teaching 1st grade, a stint as a college art instructor and publishing my own Chicago weekly newspaper. I now work in advertising as a creative director/writer. Over the years, I've bounced back and forth between St. Louis and Chicago, which is once again home. As much as I love both cities, though, if I ever hit a big lottery, you can forward my mail to Manhattan. I've always been interested in art and photography. Still am. galleries. My wife, a writer by profession, does abstract painting on the side and also exhibits. My latest fun distraction is a food blog, Blue Kitchen, started in November 2006. Google Blue Kitchen and you'll find it. It lets me combine my passions for cooking, photography and blathering on about whatever catches my eye. Including another passion, music: I often write about what's on the kitchen boombox. For me, the most surprising thing about my blog is that it's connected me with food writers and friends around the world.
