Life
Drank a good deal for thirteen years after graduating, held too many jobs to recount, lived all over SoCal, moved to SF in '76, got sober in '78, moved to Hawaii along with an employment offer from an art gallery I worked with in San Francisco. Back to the bottle in '80, back to the mainland the same year. Portland, then L.A., got sober (again) in '81. Back to SF as a warehouse manager for a family-owned chocolate specialty manufacturer, did temp work for a while before working with an AIDS support agency in 1984. Left tha...Expand for more
t in 1989, relationship with significant other failed in 1990, tried Austin and Seattle, settled in Reno in 1991, broke and out of gas. Worked casinos for six years, then onto an ostrich ranch for six months. Moved to Valdez, Alaska in 1998. Worked with severely developmentally disabled in position of Store Manager/Job Coach at local thrift store through state funded agency. Sober 20 years in May of 2001.
Moved to Juneau, AK, June 2008 with 'sister' Lynn. Providing in-home support for physically/developmentally disabled.
