Terry's Story
After completing my BS at W&M, I worked for fifteen years as a chemist, managing the Quality Control Lab for a pharmaceutical company. I lost my first wife to cancer, and when the kids were out on their own, I decided to head off on my second career, and returned to school fulltime at Virginia Tech to get my Master's in Architecture. I loved the mountains, and decided to stay here.
My interest is in historic preservation, and I currently work for the Town of Blacksburg as Mu...Expand for more
seum Administrator, while restoring my own 100 year old home in beautiful downtown Narrows, VA, population 1500.
I married a classmate from architecture school (also named Terri) and we spend our time visiting other great small towns and old buildings, working on our house, visiting family, and playing in the local community band (I hadn't played the french horn since TDHS in 1979!)
I have two granddaughters from my first marriage - they are the apples of their "Poppy's" eye!
