Life
I now live in a hi-rise in Aventura, Florida & plan on attending the reunion in Boca 2/11/07. Hope to see old friends there. Don't know how to download my piciture into this setup but as soon as I get one of my kids to do it for me, I'll join so I can browse old school chums. My nickname used to be & still is Temi - maiden name Efrus - & was sometimes callled Effie. I worked at the local F.W.Woolworth all thru high school & did a short stint as an usherette at the Oceana movie theater. I got a commercial diploma. I also graduated P.S. 100 on West 1st St. in 1944. I'm a blue-eyed blonde & was a late bloomer. I was short until 17 & then I shot up to 5'7-1/2" - now I'm 5'5" - shrinking cartilage between my spinal discs - what else is new?

d to pick on me because my feet were in the aisle. I was a good kid, worked 48 hrs. a week in the local Woolworth on Brighton Beach Avenue every day after school from 1:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. & all day Saturday, was an excellent student, didn't fool around & she picked on me. She upset me so much that I seriously contemplated quitting school when I ws 16. My mother talked me out of it. Otherwide, I really don't remember any other teacher.
My biggest surprise is that I'm a survivor & strong. I live alone now - I've been widowed about 10 yrs. & I've adjusted. Never lived alone until I became widowed. Lived with my mother until I got married & thereafter had 3 children & was kept busy raising a family & catering to a husband. Didn't go to college until after I had 3 kids & 1st had to take pre-requisite courses - never had high school math or science or a language - so started from scratch at Nassau Community College & absolutely flourished.
