Theodore (Dorie)'s Story
Life
This is a short biography to let everyone know what I have been doing with my life. After high school I went into the Navy and served 22 years retiring as a Senior Chief Photographer (E-8) in 1981. I married the former Margaret Jolan Domonkos of Spotswood, N.J. on January 20, 1962. During my military career I received an AA Degree from Pensacola Jr. College in 1972. After retirement I worked as a Corporate Photographer for Monsanto Corporation for 14 years. My job was eliminated in 1997 due to a change in the company when it was spun off to Solutia Corporation. For two years I worked part time for the Pensacola News Journal doing both Photo Journalism and Advertising Photography. In 2000 I felt God's call into the ministry and started the many steps to becoming a Methodist Pastor. This year I received my first appointment as Associate Pastor at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Pensacola, Florida. I have been married for 43 years to Margaret Domonkos Bowne. We have two sons the oldest is Raymond who was a Lieutenant in the Navy, served nine years, and is now a Pfizer Sales Rep. Our younger son Craig is a Master Sergeant in the Air force planning to retire this year. We have 4 grandchildren and one great grandchi...Expand for more
ld. We have made plans to attend the 45th reunion and see old classmates. We will, I guess be considered guests of the class since I did not officially graduate with all of you. I was short 3 credits for graduation and instead of going back to school I joined the Navy. I received a GED High School diploma in 1961 while in my second year in the Navy.
My wife,Margaret Bowne passed away on 22 Jan. 2010 from cancer. On Jan.20 2010 we were married 48 wonderful years.
August 2015, I appreciate all classmates that have either signed my guest book or have made other contribution. It was great to attend the reunion this year. Jack Rose and his wife Cindi made me and Sarah feel very welcome at he reunion. It is always a blessing to see and be with class mates. I appreciate all those who worked so hard to pull it off this year. Many thanks to Beverly Sue and John Garback for welcoming me back into the class of 60 many years ago so I can participate in class reunions. Not graduation with my class has always been one of my life's disappointments, however it was totally my own fault. In retrospect I am thankful for a second chances in life to make corrections that are beneficial. It was great seeing all of you this year at our 55th.
