Theresa's Story

So they say enquiring minds want to know! Ah, let me be of assistance with helping to fill those precious little wonders! Though many women don't like to share their age, (I didn't think it would hurt since you, my comrades are old too)...I'm 47 and this is a long 30 years from high school. In that time I have laughed and cried but most of all I have loved and been loved. I have three children: Tara who is now 28, Jeremy who is now 24 and Ashley who is 20. Tara is the typical child and most like her mom... a homebody if she isn't working ... Jeremy is in school and soon to complete (he is in a nursing program but is now deciding if he should just get into hospital administration because he says "I won't have to work midnights if I do this")...and then there is my baby, Miss Ashley. She is my miracle child...You see, as a teenager it took prayers from any and all that had a moment to get Ashley into the kitchen to assist in operation clean up after our evening meal...And now, she is a manager for Anthony's Pizza...The miracle lies in the fact that SHE CAN WALK! God bless the bab...Expand for more
ies for they will be teased the duration of their life. As for me...nothing major...I did go to school and obtained my PhD. in Clinical Psychology and do love my work. But most of all I simply love life and I truly mean the simple things. Funny, but I am still amazed when I pass by a flower and see a new bloom at the top, ready to burst open, full of life and vibrant color... In my youth I didn't realize that flowers bloomed. Life was taken for granted for I knew that it would be there in the morning when I woke. I lost my dad in November 2005 with out warning and every time that I saw him, I saw the flowers bloom, full of life and vibrant color... He was gone in an instant and that is when I understood the need for the flower to produce thorns. For it is but this: The thorn protects the flower while it lives. When death greets the flower, to shelter it in rest, the, thorn carries on its work. For it now protects those who loved the flower. It pierces their heart, as it writes a story that will fill them with wonderful memories of the flower. And in this the flower lives on.
