Theresa's Story

Life Hello to the Class of 1984! I hope that your lives lead you to success, love and you have never stopped the pursuit of happiness. As for me, Well, after high school, Conrad Hart (1984 grad from Golden West) and I moved to Salinas, California where our daughter, Ashley was born. We grew apart and accepted separate roads that life had to lead us down. I met someone new and went on to give birth to 3 more children, one boy (that past away at birth) and two very beautiful girls. I have traveled to 43 of the 50 states since then, worked in the manufacturing industry building everything from Mixers, Augers to pipe lines. I have had my share of life's ups and downs but like a wild stallion have never let it break my spirit. I pray that where ever life lead each of the 1984 grads that their spirits soared even in the toughest of times. I moved to a small town outside of Dover, Delaware under a blanket of 15 degree weather and picture perfect surroundings but the small town was too small to keep me, so I moved onward to Texas, God has blessed me so far and I retained my high school attributes of 5'10 and dusty blonde ( No gray yet!), and what everyone knows me best for, my smile. Take Care Class of 1984! Don't ever forget that when life gives you a lemon to simply make some lemonade out of it. School My biggest crush, omgosh, I think his name was Jeff or was it Martin, nahhhh perhaps it was Dennis, I really was to busy to notice many guys and the ones I did...hahaha well, they were taken so I didn't waste my time really thinking of them either. As for a teacher who inspired me the most, all of them did. I was an emanicipated minor through the last pa...Expand for more
rt of my high school years and they were the role models I had to fall back on to know the right from wrongs. There were a few people that always stayed ahead of the crowd, their heads high and the toughest of times just seem to roll off of them like water on a ducks back. Kudos to all of Mt. Whitney and Golden West Teachers and peers. I appreciate the dedication you gave to my future. Most weren't even aware that school was HOME for me. Thank you Gosh...let's get the good stuff! The craziest moment in high school would be the day I was in home economics, it was around Valentine's day, the class had just learn how to cook escargo and Mrs. Burke walked in, Mrs. Morrellee, such a dear person, greating her with a smile, I turn my head to see the two, I was doing something with the blender and dropped a spoon into it. My first reaction was to grab it so that it would not tear up the blender. Ha Ha instead I went to the hospital to have four fingers patched up. Today, I set in place safe guards so that blonde's like me don't stick their hands where they don't belong. (Smiles!) I tell ya...back in 1984 there were some really wild days. I remember drinking for the first time with a few buddies from school and this crazy thought came across as we were cruisin' Mooney, we came to a stop, we pulled our clothes off, jumped out of the car, ran around it about 2-3 times and then jumped back in, dashing from the police and hiding in Youngs parking lot among everyone else just parked to have fun....oh my gosh those silly days!! If we had been caught...boy howdy what trouble we would have been buyin' Take care CLASS OF 1984 You were the best and always will be!
