Theresa's Story
Life
Hi there, well just thought I'd say a few things about my life in general. I have had my shares of ups & downs, like everyone else I am sure. But now at 61 yrs old (2007) my life has come full circle & I am trully happy. What is funny is that once you are happy with yourself, everything else falls into place. I have 2 grown sons who live near me. My oldest son Marcus has 2 chilren, a daughter 4 & a son 2 & my youngest son Michael has a daughter who will turn 8 this year. My how time flys as we get older. I divorced my 2nd husband in 2001. That was both the worst & the best time of my life. While I felt like everything was falling apart, It really was not & I was just starting a new & wonderul life. I had been married from the time I was 19 until I was 55. However now I am retired, & have been going with a wonderful man for the past 2.5 years. Life could not be any better. My grandbabies are the light of my life & I am now doing the things I had only dreamed of in the past. Like buying a motorhome & traveling to all the states; seeing sights that I never thought I would see; learning how to ski both on water & on snow; scuba diving in far of...Expand for more
f places; taking cruises to exotic place. Life is wonderful. I just got back from a vacation to Key West, Fla. We love to go casinoing & have been traveling the Lewis & Clark trails throughout the west & hitting all the Indian gaming casinos. In fact about 6 weeks ago, I won $4,000 on a "penny" machine. We will be leaving on a cruise of the Mexican Rivera in a few months & I just can't wait. I own my home & he owns his business & these 2 things allow us to travel as much as we like. We always have a home ground to hang our hat so that gives us the stability that we love. His brother lives on the east coast, so we travel there a lot. So I really say life is good. My 50's & 60's have been the best years of my life. I hope the years have brought you happiness & you all have reached that point in your life that you know that each day is gift to be enjoyed. Oh for those of you that remember me with my weight problem, that is no more. While I did shed 250 lbs when I divorced my last husband, I also had a gastric bypass in 2002 & weigh in now at 135 lbs. & a size 7-8. I have not been a single digit size since I was a single digit age. Life is Good!!!
